Hotelupwell.com – After visiting Mount Bromo, from exploring the sea of sand to panoramic spots, don’t forget to stop by the surrounding tourist attractions.
One of them is Wringinanom Tourism Village located in Poncokusumo District, Malang Regency, East Java.
This tourist village is in the same direction as the route to the entrance to Mount Bromo via Coban Trisula or via Malang.
Wringinanom Tourism Village is one of the buffer villages in the Bromo Tengger Semeru National Park (TNBTS) area
Located on a plateau with an altitude of 850 meters above sea level (masl), Wringinanom Village has a slope of 26 percent and an average daily temperature of between 14 and 23 degrees Celsius.
The potential for agrotourism in this village is quite large. The local community optimizes it by planting various types of vegetables and fruits, such as watercress, broccoli, eggplant, and oranges, which are the main commodities.
Wringinanom Tourism Village also offers a unique experience with various interesting activities, such as exciting river tubing, education about handicraft sandals, and a jeep tour adventure to Mount Bromo.
Tourists can also try picking fruit directly, such as oranges, from local community plantations.
Top 50 ADWI and efforts to become a sustainable tourism village
All of this made Wringinanom Tourism Village enter the list of the top 50 of the Indonesian Tourism Village Award (ADWI).
Minister of Tourism and Creative Economy (Menparekraf) Sandiaga Uno also visited on Saturday (27/7/2024).
“Congratulations on your achievement in entering the top 50 best tourist villages. The next step is to certify this village as a sustainable tourist village,” he said in an official release from the Ministry of Tourism and Creative Economy that Kompas.com received, Sunday (28/7/2024).
Sustainable Tourism Village Certification is carried out to improve the standards and quality of sustainable tourist villages based on the established quality standards.
With this certification, tourists are guaranteed to get high quality destinations, so it is expected to increase loyalty from tourists and stakeholders in the destination.
Meanwhile, the Deputy Regent of Malang, Didik Gatot Subroto, said that the presence of the Minister of Tourism and Creative Economy in Wringinanom Tourism Village is expected to be a supporting force for tourism, especially in East Java, and a means of promotion.
“His presence spurs our enthusiasm to achieve the target of tourist visits. Moreover, Wringinanom is the gateway to Bromo, so tourists can stop by here before or after visiting Bromo,” said Didik.
